Over 25 years ago, we had a dream to build Scotland’s first purpose built race horse training facility in Scotland.

With successful Trainers Ian Semple then most recently Keith Dalgleith, the facility at Belstane Racing Stables proved successful in producing Championship Trainers who competed at the top level.

We started Summerstorm Bloodstock in 2020, as we believed in our ability to source, improve, race, win and breed high quality thoroughbred racehorses.

Now six years later, and having won with every filly and horse we have purchased (with almost all not having won previously, and coming from top yards such as William Haggas, Dermott Weld, Marcus Tregoining and Simon Crisford) we are now in our second phase of producing home bred foals from our winning mares.

Horse Racing and Breeding is a very expensive Sport and Business, but ultimately a very rewarding and lucrative one, given time and patience.

In our first full season Flat Racing in 2022, we were the Joint Top Scottish Owners.

We surpassed this in our second season in 2023, becoming the Outright Top Scottish Owner, beating Sheikh Mohammed to win the Championship.

In 2024 and 2025, we yet again surpassed our expectations on winning horses and prize money, and in 2026, our fillies have taken us to the next level with Listed (Black Type) progression, and winning the Epsom Dash.

Below are a selection of some of our 2025 Flat Season winning fillies and mares.
